In August 2006, a non profit support organization, Apache’s Angels Foundation was created to support and manage the charitable endeavors of Stajduhar Stables.  Apache’s Angels exist to:

• Accept donations of equipment, tack, horses, and monies for the daily operational requirements of Stajduhar Stables.
  
  
• Provide scholarships to appropriate clients with financial needs.
  
  
• Recruit, retain, and recognize volunteers for Stajduhar Stables.
  
  
• Promote the services provided by Stajduhar Stables to better serve Tarrant County and the surrounding counties.
  
  
• Fund research to validate the effectiveness of hippotherapy and therapeutic riding.

Volunteers are the “life blood” of our organization and are always needed to groom and tack horses, lead, sidewalk and “school” horses, as well as provide assistance for the administrative duties of the stables and foundation.

Ways To Donate

In addition to accepting donations, of tack, horses, and adoption programs, you can securely make an online donation to Apache’s Angels Foundation.  Donations can be accepted through secure network provided by PayPal.  Donors are able to specify if contributions are in memoriam, in honorarium, for scholarship or general donation.

• Scholarship 10 patients a year. Approximately $5,000 per patient, per year.
• Enhance the facility by extending the covered arena so all therapy sessions can use the full arena in cases of wet weather and muddy conditions.
• Receive a Draft horse donation.
• Build a larger clinic for enhanced provision of clinical services of PT, OT, and SLP.

Donation Dollars at Work

Through donations from Sabre and Home Depot, the Sensory Trail was unveiled in November 2006. This trail supports over 90% of the patients that come to Stajduhar Stables for therapy.

We have also received two horses through donations, Magic and Spot. Both have worked successfully into our program and provided many successful hours of therapy sessions for our clients both therapeutic riding and hippotherapy.
